saving half life of kittens

When I was walking outside Wangsa Walk this afternoon, I heard kitten's voice. For someone who is already familiar with cats and kittens, I quickly went to search for the voice. Because normal kitten's voice is not loud, and since I was like 20 meters away and I could hear it, I knew something was wrong.

Found two boxes near A&W restaurant, one was empty. The other had 3 kittens, in such poor condition. They were shaking, one was meowing so loud, one was not moving too much.

I saw a pack of cat food outside the box. But I know that food is not suitable for two weeks old kittens. They desperately need milk.

I hold them one by one, checking the conditions. The eyes are watery, probably they had flu. I also found a small bowl outside the box filled with water. I took the bowl, went inside the restaurant and fill it with new water.

Not far from the kittens' box were women, like 5 of them, chatting, eating, laughing. Not even one came and asked about the kittens. I guess they were very busy chatting while the kittens were probably dying.

I question myself; why such Ignorance? Why such cold heart?

I continued wiping the kittens' eyes. One of them had nose clogged. I wiped the them all. I put them back inside the box, and I also put some cat food that I found (I soaked it with water first so that the food isn't too hard for the kittens to chew) and then I left.

I know if I stay a little longer I'd bring them home, but I could not.

Hujan jugak lah tadi. Nak buat macam mana. The only way is to put faith to God. I hope those kittens will find someone to take care of them. Or if they're going to leave, let it be in the easiest way.

Next time, kawan-kawan, tolongla jangan ignore anak-anak kucing yang terbiar. At least tolongla bagi air. Cuba bayangkan kita jadi macam diorang. Cuba fikir bila rasa nak mati, and kita desperately need help and no one help, apa kita rasa?

'Yela, kucing je. Bukan manusia pun.'

Kalau korang ada cara pemikiran ni, sila la pergi mati.
